Dr. Emma Pollon-MacLeod, ND, is a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) specializing in perimenopause and menopause care. She addresses both symptoms and long-term health risks like osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, and cognitive decline. Her treatment plans combine hormone therapy, nutraceuticals, and lifestyle strategies, grounded in a whole-body, personalized approach. With a background in biochemistry and naturopathic medicine, Dr. Emma empowers women with evidence-based care tailored to their needs and values.

Dr. Haissam Dahan is a dentist that lectures on topics ranging from dental sleep medicine, temporomandibular disorders (TMD), and facial pain. He received his Doctorate of Dentistry from McGill University and his Clinical Fellowship in Facial Pain and Sleep Apnea Management from the Massachusetts General Hospital. He also completed a Masters and a Ph.D. in Dental Sciences from McGill University. He is the director of the Ottawa TMJ & Sleep Apnea Clinic. He has authored multiple scientific papers and has been featured in Men’s Health Magazine and Reader’s Digest. Dr. Dahan lectures and teaches about dental sleep medicine, TMD, and facial pain to dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, scientific researchers, and dental students. His talks are always informative and engaging. He currently serves as a dental advisor to the Canadian Academy of Clinical Sleep Disorders Disciplines and is the 2017 recipient of the Ottawa Forty Under 40 Award.

Shawn, an attorney who also holds an MBA, was a key player in the success of our Toronto event. He is the CEO of Dental Peers with years of experience in the dental field, he is a tremendous asset to our team, and attendees are sure to find his speech both informative and captivating.

Debora is a Registered Dietitian, certified Sport Nutritionist and certified Personal Trainer. She began her own private practice Debora Sloan Healthy Solutions in 2013 after moving to Ottawa. She completed a BAH at Queen’s University, worked in art galleries and marketing, and returned to school as a mature student, graduating with a BSc in clinical nutrition and dietetics from Western University. She received her clinical training at Sunnybook Hospital in Toronto in 2012. Her expertise in many areas of clinical nutrition including diabetes, heart health and metabolic disorders, weight management and body composition, sport nutrition, celiac disease, as well as aging and women’s health. As an athlete and mom, living with Type 1 Diabetes since the age of 12, and a more recent diagnosis of celiac disease, healthy living and nutrition management are part of daily life. She understand firsthand the many challenges involved in balancing a busy family and work life, healthy living, and proper fuelling. She loves to experiment in the kitchen, lift heavy, read about exercise science, and believe in nourishing and fuelling the body with delicious food. She practices what she preaches and set out to motivate her clients to lead their best lives in the most sustainable ways by building habits that count. She works with clients of all ages and stages to develop practical and individualized nutrition and fitness solutions. She listens to her clients and uphold an evidence based, food first, and client-centred approach. Yolanda Tsang, BSc.PT, is a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist, women’s health advocate, and fitness/rehab specialist with over three decades of clinical experience. She graduated from Queen’s University in 1993 and has since pursued extensive additional training in Pilates, yoga, TRX, and fitness instruction. In 2002, Yolanda developed Yolates—a unique rehabilitation approach that blends the principles of Pilates and yoga to restore balance between mind and body. This integrative method uses purposeful movement sequences to enhance strength, function, and body awareness, making it particularly effective for rehabilitation, prevention, and long-term pelvic health and wellness. Yolanda’s passion for Women’s Health led her to advanced postgraduate training in pelvic floor dysfunction. By combining pelvic health expertise with her movement-based background, she delivers comprehensive, holistic care for individuals experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction, menopause-related changes, general deconditioning, and a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. Her professional journey spans the globe and a wide range of practice settings, including managing a rehabilitation facility in New Zealand, working in an alternative therapy clinic in South Africa, traveling with professional sports teams, consulting in long-term care facilities, and practicing in orthopaedic and sports medicine clinics. She has also provided independent assessments for motor vehicle accident injuries and completed advanced training with internationally renowned physiotherapists. Beyond the clinic, Yolanda is an experienced educator and speaker. She has facilitated Yolates classes for diverse populations, including prenatal and mom-and-baby programs, and has presented at workshops and professional events. She is also the creator of “Yo and Vaginia – knowing, caring and loving your ‘lady parts’,” an education and fitness-based Women’s Health platform dedicated to breaking down myths, normalizing conversations around pelvic health, and dismantling the stigma surrounding menopause and women’s bodies. Yolanda’s mission is simple but powerful: to educate, empower, and equip individuals and healthcare professionals with the knowledge and tools needed to support pelvic health, navigate menopause with confidence, and promote lifelong wellness.

Angie Drinic is the founder of Dent-Cents & Menopause Unveiled. With over 40 years in the dental industry, she combines a unique background in business administration and law—having studied medical and dental malpractice at Western State College of Law. Since relocating to Canada in 1992, she has consistently trained teams in practices of all sizes. A seasoned speaker at seminars and conferences, Angie channels a deeply personal passion for menopause advocacy—a subject that once nearly cost her life. As the program's MC, she will share her powerful story to inspire others and help bring this critical issue to the forefront.
